We support renovations that leave the structure, such as columns and beams, as it is: updating interiors and equipment, or rethinking layouts. We work through design supervision and producing. Lodgings, homes, shops, offices: any type of building is welcome.

Partner

With contractors and architects

You contract directly with a construction company we introduce. UBAKU does not take on construction, and focuses on supervision and producing. For large renovations that need a building permit, we work with partner architects.

From an empty farmhouse to a private villa for one group a day.

A former farmhouse built in 1968 and passed down for over half a century, renovated. From space design supervision to branding (visual design and web design), everything was brought together in one consistent world.

UBAKU

One logo, many businesses.

The brand of a team of regional producers in Biei and Higashikawa. We made a rule that changes the color of the bar over the Ū for each business, so lodging, consulting, and design can be told apart within one brand.

Frequently asked questions
Can you handle the construction too?

You contract directly with a construction company we introduce. As supervisor and producer, UBAKU stays with you through communication with the contractor and checks on the finish.

Do you work on buildings other than lodgings?

Yes. Homes, shops, offices: any type of building is welcome. If the renovation leaves the structure as it is, please feel free to ask.

What about large renovations, close to a rebuild?

Large renovations that need a building permit are carried out with partner architects. Please start by telling us about the condition of the building.

What does the design supervision fee include?

Concept development, supervision of the plan, color, and materials, contractor introductions, and our support through to completion. The construction itself is contracted directly with the construction company.

Can I ask for just one part?

Yes. Visual design only or web design only is welcome. We also hand over the rules for color and type, so you can expand little by little later.

Do you brand shops and companies, not only lodgings?

Yes. Shops, companies, local projects: any brand is welcome. Alongside a renovation, we can also create the building and brand in one consistent world.

Can I also get help opening and running a lodging after the renovation?

Yes. UBAKU Consulting handles opening and running a lodging and structuring the business. You can ask alongside your renovation.
